Project Space, a growing dental practice company, sought to expand its services to a new area by converting a run-down office block into a modern and functional dental space in Heaton Mersey. With the aim of providing high-quality dental care in a newly renovated building, Project Space approached PSES Ltd to oversee the electrical and security installations for the new practice.

Scope Of Work

PSES Ltd was appointed as the principal electrical contractor for this project, responsible for the design, installation, and commissioning of the following services:

Electrical: Complete power and lighting system installation to ensure a fully functioning and safe working environment for staff and patients.
Fire Alarm Installation and Commissioning: Installation of a state-of-the-art fire alarm system to meet safety regulations and protect the practice from potential fire hazards.
Intruder Alarm Installation and Commissioning: A fully integrated intruder alarm system to ensure the security of the building and protect sensitive equipment and assets.
CCTV Installation and Commissioning: Advanced CCTV surveillance systems were installed to monitor and protect the premises 24/7, ensuring the safety of both patients and staff.
Access Control Installation and Commissioning: A secure access control system to regulate who can enter restricted areas within the building, safeguarding both physical and digital assets.

Challenges & Solutions

The building, previously an old office block, required significant transformation to meet the specific needs of a modern dental practice. The renovation included upgrading existing electrical infrastructure, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and integrating a range of security systems that would work seamlessly together.

PSES Ltd successfully managed the design and implementation of complex electrical and security systems, overcoming challenges such as tight timelines and the conversion of an older building into a highly functional, secure space.

The project spanned three months, from December 2024 to February 2025. Despite the challenges posed by the building’s age and the scale of the installations, PSES Ltd completed the project on time and within budget.
