The Challenge

Proteus Switch Gear, a leading manufacturer, was expanding their factory due to growing production demands. As part of this expansion, the company required a full rewire of their existing electrical infrastructure, as well as the installation of new lighting systems. Additionally, to safeguard the growing site, a robust CCTV security system needed to be designed and installed, with specific requirements for multi-site monitoring and centralised viewing capabilities.

With the need for minimal disruption to ongoing operations and a tight schedule, Premier Security & Electrical Solutions Ltd was brought on board to provide expert electrical and security solutions alongside CW Electrical Services.

The Solution

Premier Security & Electrical Solutions Ltd handled two key aspects of the project: the electrical rewire and the installation of a high-tech CCTV system.

Full Electrical Rewire and Lighting Installation: Working in partnership with CW Electrical Services, we undertook a comprehensive rewire of the factory’s electrical system to ensure it could handle the increased load brought on by the expansion. This included:
- Rewiring the factory’s electrical infrastructure to meet updated safety standards and accommodate increased operational demand.
- Installing modern, energy-efficient lighting systems throughout the facility, improving both functionality and worker safety.
Our team worked efficiently to ensure that the installation was completed with minimal disruption to factory operations and within the project’s timeline.
Bespoke CCTV System Design and Installation: To enhance site security, we designed and installed a bespoke CCTV system using Dahua cameras. This system consisted of:
- 48 high-definition CCTV cameras, strategically placed to cover key areas across the factory and surrounding grounds.
- A cross-networked, multi-site setup allowing all camera feeds to be monitored from a central viewing point, providing real-time surveillance of the entire site.
- Custom-built systems designed to meet Proteus Switch Gear’s specific security requirements, ensuring complete coverage and peace of mind.

The Outcome

Premier Security & Electrical Solutions Ltd successfully completed both the full factory rewire and the CCTV installation on time and within the client’s budget. The electrical system now supports the increased operational capacity of Proteus Switch Gear’s expanded facility, while the bespoke 48-camera CCTV system ensures comprehensive security coverage.
